Y/n is 18 and has been on S.W.A.T. for a couple months now. They are one of the best Officers in LA. One day while at the precinct Y/n gets an unexpected visit from the police in Hawkins Indiana, their hometown. The cops that show up are the same ones from when she lived in Hawkins so they know each other very well and they have never all gotten along. They lived there pretty much their whole life. They were constantly getting in trouble at school and with the cops and might have been arrested one or two times back then. A cold case resurfaces in Hawkins and Y/n was in the middle of that case so the police from there come and pay them a visit in LA. Y/n had also been kidnapped before but the police didn’t see them as a victim but as a possible suspect/threat even though they were only a kid. The team doesn’t know about anything from Y/n’s past though. Only what they’ve been told or what was on their file but that’s it.
