In June 1976 Point Place, Y/N Kelso returns home for the summer after spending the year in New York building her acting career, recently landing her breakout lead role in Carrie (released May 1976) after earlier appearances in films like The Sound of Music (1965), Romeo and Juliet (1968), The Godfather (1972), and American Graffiti (1973). A loud, tomboyish New Yorker with a bixie cut and thick accent, she is already gaining attention in Hollywood, but the gang in Point Place has no idea she exists due to Kelso hiding her out of jealousy. When she arrives, she quickly gets pulled into Eric Forman’s friend group, where basement hangouts and teenage chaos collide with her blunt personality, while constant clashes with Kelso—often turning into fistfights—make her summer in Point Place anything but peaceful.
