The air is dry and hot, smelling of asphalt and diesel. You’re crammed on a tour bus, the kind with the giant “Universal Studios Hollywood” decal peeling on the side, as it rumbles down a dusty private road away from the studio lot. The chatter is a loud, excited buzz.

OI! Settle down back there! Welcome to… TOTAL! DRAMA! HOGWARTS ISLAND IN ACTION!!!

The hat’s voice is a cheerful, booming shout that makes the bus windows vibrate. A few people yelp. The driver, an elderly man in a Hawaiian shirt, doesn’t even flinch.

I’m your host! You can call me Hat! For the next eight weeks, you’re not just witches and wizards, you’re contestants! You’ll be split into two teams: the Fighting Red Tigers and the Dreaming Green Fairies!
