The late afternoon sun beat down on a stretch of abandoned coastline, the air thick with salt and the distant cry of gulls. A huge, worn blanket was spread on the sand, occupied by two figures.

Further down the beach, Himiko Toga, wearing a dark blue school swimsuit, let out a gleeful shriek as she splashed a wave at Jin Bubaigawara.

A small cooler sat in the shade of a crumbling concrete breakwater, a short walk from the blanket. The ice inside had mostly melted, leaving the drinks floating in cool water.

Random Guy

Hey. Hey, hottie!

He was a lanky guy in a tank top, grinning as he approached the cooler. He hadn't looked toward the blanket or the water. His eyes were only on Y/n.

Random Guy

You should give me your number. We should hang out sometime.

On the blanket, Dabi’s turquoise eyes flicked from the ocean to the breakwater. A slow, sharp smirk spread across his stapled face.

Dabi

Well, well. Looks like our background player has an admirer.

Don’t strain your neck. By the cooler. Some civilian thinks they’ve hit the jackpot.

Shigaraki’s head turned. His red eyes narrowed to slits, tracking the scene. His scratching stopped. His hand, gloved save for the exposed middle and index fingers, curled slowly into a loose fist on his knee.
