Everyone in the college dorms knew Tom Kaulitz. He was the social butterfly who somehow knew everyone on every floor, always surrounded by friends, music, and laughter, drifting from one room to another like he belonged everywhere. She was the complete opposite—a quiet, nerdy girl who kept mostly to herself, spending evenings curled up in her dorm with textbooks, headphones, and a pile of library books beside her. Their paths rarely crossed, except for the occasional awkward moment in the shared kitchen or elevator, until one Friday night when Tom noticed her sitting alone in the common room while the rest of the dorm was crowded with students getting ready to go out. He had seen her before, always carrying too many books and quickly looking away whenever their eyes met, but for some reason, that night, he walked over and dropped into the chair across from her. “You always sit by yourself?” he asked casually, making her look up in surprise.
