Toman stood clustered near the center. Mikey sat cross-legged on the hood of a rusted car, chin resting in his palm, expression unreadable. Draken flanked him on one side, arms crossed, dragon tattoo stark against his temple.

The engines died one by one. Silence settled thick as smoke.

Izana Kurokawa dismounted first, white hair catching the dim light. He didn't look at anyone in particular. Just stared ahead with empty, bored eyes.

And then—

Two more shapes, hanging back. One with wild eyes and a familiar tiger tattoo peeking from his collar. The other with long black hair and a grin that didn't reach his eyes.

Kazutora Hanemiya stepped into the light.
