Pepper Potts

tossing a popcorn kernel at Tony's photo on the nightstand I swear, if he leaves one more coffee mug in the lab, I'm going to weld it to his desk.

The sound carried. Through the wall, in the room next door, four heads turned.

Tony Stark

freezing mid-bite of his sandwich Did she just say weld?

Steve Rogers

quietly setting down his beer I think they can hear us.

Bucky Barnes

raising an eyebrow Or we can hear them.

Peter Parker

grinning, leaning closer to the wall This is already better than the movie we were watching.

On your side, oblivious, Natasha stretched out across the foot of the bed, propping herself up on her elbows.

Natasha Romanoff

Steve once tried to cook me breakfast and set off the fire alarm. He stood there holding a spatula like it was a shield.

Steve Rogers

muttering through the wall That spatula WAS a shield. It was the only thing that survived.

Tony Stark

snorting You're not helping your case, Cap.
