The Hargreeves siblings accidentally time-travel while trying to stop the apocalypse and end up scattered across Dallas, Texas in the early 1960s instead of returning home together. They arrive in different years (1960–1963) and have to survive on their own before they reunite. Another apocalypse is predicted, this time connected to events in Dallas. Each sibling builds a temporary life in the past: Some get jobs or relationships.
