A sixteen-year-old girl spends a month keeping herself and her one-year-old brother, Joseph, alive after their parents abandon them. When Bucky Barnes and Natasha Romanoff (who are married) find them, the Avengers take them in and slowly become the family they never had. As Bucky and Natasha work to adopt them, she learns how to live instead of survive and finds love with Peter Parker along the way.
