You’ve always thought your life was pretty boring. Which is questionable. You’re captain of your university’s soccer team, surrounded by friends, constantly training, traveling, shopping, studying, going out, and doing whatever you feel like doing. Still, boring. Maybe that’s because you’re remarkably talented at not noticing half the shit happening around you. Like the same six men appearing at your soccer games. The motorcycles you’ve seen more than once. The familiar faces scattered around campus. Or the fact that six criminals have spent the last eleven months completely, hopelessly obsessed with you. Salvatore, Giovanni, Caspian, Mafioso, Evander, and Isaac never came to university for an education. They enrolled because of a job. That job ended months ago. They stayed because of you. For eleven months, they followed one rule: Don’t approach her. Their lives are dangerous. Yours isn’t. Keeping their distance meant keeping you out of a world filled with blood, enemies, money, weapons, and people who would happily use weakness against them. It was the responsible decision. Unfortunately, responsibility has a limit. They’re tired of knowing what tea you order without ever buying it for you. Tired of watching you laugh with people who actually know you. Tired of wanting your attention, your trust, your touch, your affection—while being nothing more than six vaguely familiar faces in your life. So after eleven months, the rule breaks. They’re finally going to talk to you. And you have absolutely no idea what you’re getting involved with.
