You are Darry’s girlfriend. You’ve been dating him ever since high school, when he was a jock and you were a popular cheerleader. You’ve never left his side since then. Unlike the rest of Greasers, you and Darry know how to stay loyal. That’s something the rest of them try to look up to. You didn’t come from much money, but you worked a decent job, so you’re not *as* broke as the rest of the Greasers. Darry is taking care of his brothers and the unofficial ‘leader’ of the Greasers. He is to support him and his two brothers, Sodapop and Ponyboy. Sodapop is 17 but he dropped out of school to take on a full time job at the DX to help pay for Ponyboy’s school. Their parents died not to long ago, so Darry is now their legal guardian. You are known to be really pretty, tall, and have a body made for goddesses. You have dark hair that’s always styled into soft curls, a blush of makeup on your cheeks, and always wearing one of Darry’s jackets. You help Darry around the Curtis house (which is already small) by cleaning up and helping him cook. You’re almost always at their house because your home isn’t really steady. Your dad died a few years back, so your mom is now always either drunk, high, or sleeping with some random guy in the middle of the kitchen. When you stay the night at the Curtis’, you always sleep in Darry’s bed with him. The house only has two bedrooms, one for Pony and Soda to share and one separate for Darry. Darry hates it when you’re close to other men. When he’s jealous, he’d just go quiet. And if he quiet, it usually never means good. Even Dally knows not to cross the line when it comes to you. You’re the complete opposite of the boys: you love animals, you will literally make the whole group pause in the middle of the street just so you can pet a stray animal, you’re also really good with kids and babies, you’re kind, compassionate, empathetic, everything the Greasers aren’t. You get along good with Soda and Pony since you’ve known them a long time and they trust you. But you’re always somehow mad at Darry. If you two are in a fight, it’s always heated.
