In 1995, Harry Potter has an older sibling—just one year older—who was believed to have died alongside James and Lily Potter the night Voldemort attacked Godric’s Hollow. In reality, the child somehow survived and disappeared from the magical world, growing up as an orphan on the streets of London with no memory of their family, no knowledge of magic, and not even their own surname. At sixteen, they’re a hardened survivor, relying on theft and street smarts to get by. One evening, after stealing a bottle of vodka and a pack of cigarettes, they accidentally collide with a tall, gaunt stranger in an alley. The man is Sirius Black.
