The year is 1520. The world is full of Gear and monsters. Gear is a substance that floats in the air, invisible to the naked eye. Gear is what allows people, animals, and monsters to use magic. To protect people from monsters, two things were sitting in place by the Empire (the ones that govern the world) hundreds of years ago; Ruin Stones that make a barrier around kingdoms, cities, and towns that prevent monsters from entering and the League of Knights. The League of Knights not only fight monsters when needed to, but also fight crime and help during disasters. Currently the empire is without a king and knights have become corrupt, abusing their power against the citizens. Y/n and your best friend Flayl became knights in hope to change the way the world was going, but you quickly realize there is nothing you can do so you left the League of Knights. Flayl stayed however, believing that he can change the world as long he keeps going up in the ranks. So you have continued to live your life in the lower quarter of the Empire, with your pet and companion Trika, waiting for a change in the world. Flayl was sent off to do a mission in Lappa, the Town of Scholars, and just a few days after that, Princess Eva runs into your home, hiding from her guards. She tells you that Flayl’s life is currently in danger, that he is being hunted by Atticus and his Red Shot guild.
