The Great Hall of Hogwarts was exactly as cold and loud as Y/n had feared. Morning light streamed through the enchanted ceiling, illuminating floating candles and the four long house tables packed with students. The air smelled of old stone, pumpkin juice, and hundreds of overlapping conversations.

Professor McGonagall

clearing her throat at the head table May I have your attention. We have a new student joining us for the remainder of the term. This is Y/n Zabini, transferring from Beauxbatons Academy. She will be in her seventh year with Slytherin house.

McGonagall gestured toward the Slytherin table. A hundred pairs of eyes followed the motion. At the table, Blaise Zabini sank slightly lower in his seat, looking caught between pride and pure dread.
