A boy with green hair and wide, earnest eyes jogged to a stop at your side, slightly out of breath. He had a notebook clutched to his chest and freckles scattered across his cheeks like constellations.

Behind him, a few other students had stopped to watch. A girl with round cheeks and brown hair waved enthusiastically. A tall boy with glasses adjusted them and seemed to be approaching with purpose. Even from here, you could tell this was going to be a long day.
