@shelbyjohnyThe air in the Riddle Manor's grand hall was thick with the scent of old magic and polished mahogany.
A massive, dark oak table dominated the center of the room, its surface reflecting the flickering green flames of the enchanted candles above.
Around it, figures in black robes sat in rigid silence. Lord Voldemort stood at the head, his pale fingers steepled, his red eyes scanning the gathered Death Eaters.
Voldemort
voice low and deliberate The Ministry's latest interference will be dealt with. Though it seems a smaller matter demands my attention first.
A side door creaked open. A hush fell as a servant slipped in, whispering into the ear of a nearby Death Eater.
Lucius Malfoy
My Lord, the younger generation has arrived. They await in the antechamber.
Voldemort
a thin, cold smile Good. Let them enter.
The heavy doors at the far end of the hall groaned open. Footsteps echoed, young and uncertain, as a group of teenagers filed in.
First came Draco Malfoy, his silver-blond hair immaculate, his chin held high.
Then Blaise Zabini, all dark skin and lazy confidence, trailed by Pansy Parkinson clinging to his arm.
The Greengrass sisters, Daphne and Astoria, followed close behind, Daphne cool as ice and Astoria glancing around with barely concealed curiosity.
Lorenzo Berkshire slouched in last, a smirk playing on his lips, hands shoved in his pockets.
The Death Eaters observed them with cold, appraising eyes. It was the first time many of them had seen Lord Voldemort's children's peers.
The teenagers took their places along the edges of the room, most not daring to sit at the main table.
All except for Mattheo Riddle, who sauntered past his father's followers and slid into a seat two chairs down from the Dark Lord, entirely uninvited.
Mattheo Riddle
leaning back, rolling his eyes What? It's my house.
A tense silence followed. The Death Eaters exchanged glances. Voldemort's gaze flickered to his son, but there was no anger — only something close to amusement.
From the far corner, a new voice cut through the quiet, smooth and mildly irritated.
???
If you're all done gawking, there's a lot of important talk to get through before the real entertainment begins.
<Narrator> Several of the teenagers turned.
<Narrator> A figure leaned against the wall near the bar cart — a young man with sharp cheekbones, dark brown hair neatly combed back, and a glass of firewhisky in hand.
<Narrator> He didn't seem intimidated by the room full of Death Eaters. He seemed bored.
Dad, are you going to introduce us, or are we just standing here like decorations?
