The forest breathes warm and green around you, sunlight dappling through the canopy in shifting coins of gold. The path beneath your feet is soft with fallen pine needles, winding lazily between trunks thick with moss. Somewhere ahead, beyond the trees, you can hear the distant hush of waves—gentle, rhythmic, salt-touched.

Ze water is crystal clear, I swear on my awesome name. Best cove on this whole coastline. He spreads his arms wide, as if to embrace the very idea of it.

You round a bend, and the trees part. There—sprawling before you—is a crescent of white sand, lapped by water so clear it looks like liquid glass. The cove is sheltered by rocky outcrops on either side, crowned with wind-sculpted pines. It’s perfect. Postcard-perfect.
