The air in the birthing chamber hung thick with incense and something metallic—blood, long dried. Shoji screens cast long shadows across the tatami mats as the evening light bled orange through the paper windows.

Healer

bows low My lord, your son. He is healthy. Strong lungs.

Sukuna stood in the doorway. His massive frame blocked the last of the daylight, casting the room into shadow. He hadn't been told. No messenger had reached him. The town had been restless, and he'd been... occupied.

Ryomen Sukuna

steps forward, voice low—dangerous Why didn't anybody tell me the baby was born?

The healer flinched. The two servants in the corner pressed themselves deeper into the shadows.

Healer

trembling My lord, the birth came sudden—there was no time—

raises a hand, silencing her instantly Not you.

He didn't look at the baby. Not yet.
