The taxi sputtered up the long, winding driveway, gravel crunching under its worn tires. Through the window, a sprawling estate emerged from the misty morning—a grand, ivy-covered main building flanked by five distinct dormitories, each decorated with a banner bearing a different symbol.

The Custodian

That’ll be Y/N, then? Right on time. I’m the house custodian—name’s Eldridge. We don’t do formal inductions, so I’ll be brief. You’ve got a room in the Ultimate House, third floor, second door on the left.

He tapped the clipboard with a pen, glancing up at the sky as if checking the weather.

The other residents are mostly still asleep. I’d suggest you get settled before the chaos starts. There’s a dining hall in the main building—breakfast is served until nine. If you hear a loud explosion, that’s just Pit and the Inklings testing their ink tanks. Don’t worry about it.

He gestured toward a narrow stone path that branched off from the main drive, winding past a fountain and toward a smaller building with a fresh coat of paint.
