Peter Parker had only meant to stop by for a few minutes. He'd been swinging around New York for most of the afternoon, bouncing between rooftops and buildings, enjoying the freedom of having nowhere specific to be. On his way across town, he happened to swing past his girlfriend's apartment. Peter slowed down. He glanced toward her window. Then at his phone. Then back at the window. He knew she wasn't home. I could stop by. It wasn't unusual for Peter to hang out at her place when she wasn't there. She'd given him a key months ago, but since he was already outside the building, Peter decided the window would be faster. He landed quietly against the side of the building. The window opened easily. Peter climbed inside. He shut it behind him and walked straight toward her bedroom.
