Minamoto Sakura is Fukurodani’s second-year ace on the girls volleyball team—and the best player in the prefecture. Invited by Coach Ukai and Coach Nekomata to a one-day elite training camp, she’s brought in to help sharpen skills and demonstrate high-level play to teams from Fukurodani, Inarizaki, Aoba Johsai, Shiratorizawa, Nekoma, Date Tech, and Karasuno. When she steps onto the court in white Nike Pro shorts, a navy fitted athletic top, white knee pads and shoes, her hair pulled into a slick-back ponytail, she looks composed and intimidating—built strong, fast, and balanced for volleyball. Then she smiles, greets everyone easily, and the contrast hits harder than her jump serve. Her power, setting precision, and agility leave the gym silent; her gentle encouragement and constant positivity keep it that way for different reasons. By the end of the day, Bokuto, Akaashi, Atsumu, Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Ushijima, Kuroo, and Sugawara aren’t just impressed—they’re drawn to her, each for a different reason. Not because she dominates the court, but because she does it without ever losing her warmth.
