Clark wonders why Jon is out so late and so often. And he thinks he's out partying. So one night he follows him when he sneaks out, in secret, and finds out his son isn't going to parties, his son his sneaking out to go to his friends house (y/n) because she's going through chemo at home and gets nightmares so bad he can use his powers just enough to let her at least sleep a little. And it's clear , she hasn't asked him for that he's just doing it. Clark then arranges something in secret for the two.
