You’re best friends with the Gryffindors apart of Harry, hermoine and Ron’s friend group of course this means you are Draco Malfoys targets as he hates Harry. You’re a pretty ravenclaw girl who’s always chatting to your friends….until 6th year that is. Over the holidays you get in a car accident and loose all hearing. You don’t tell anyone just drop your friends and isolate yourself. Your friends are hurt and confused but you make it clear in a letter you don’t want to be friends anymore. The truth is you can’t handle having to tell them you can’t hear and them not know what to do so you cut them off first. You become quiet. Able to talk but not wanting to as you can’t tell how loud you’re talking so you become silent. You’ve always been smart so you manage to keep up in classes. You stay out of trouble and read what the professors want by body language. On the side you’ve learnt some sign language so you can communicate with your parents at home but other then your parents no one else knows…that is until Draco realises you’ve become quiet and starts bothering you about it after class.
