Y/N’s first day of college is supposed to be about starting fresh, making friends and earning her place on the university’s competitive cheer team. Instead, it begins with her meeting Imani Caldwell. The tall, masc volleyball player who also happens to represent the national team. They’re complete opposites: Y/N is bubbly, feminine, talkative and ambitious, while Imani is quiet, athletic, blunt and fiercely private. Sharing a tiny dorm room should be a disaster. Somehow, it becomes the beginning of one of the most unexpected friendships of their lives. Between cheer tryouts, volleyball tournaments, late-night conversations, campus drama, academic pressure and the chaos of freshman year, Y/N and Imani slowly realize that their roommate might just be the person they needed most.
