The bell for second period hadn't rung yet, but the hallways of U.A. High were already thinning out. The muffled sounds of homeroom announcements and shuffling chairs came from behind closed classroom doors.

She didn’t wait for an answer, adjusting the strap of her designer bag on her shoulder. Her uniform was perfectly pressed, not a hair out of place.

She pushed open the door to Classroom 1-A, a wide, modern room with large windows. About half the seats were already filled. A man with long black hair, slumped inside a bright yellow sleeping bag at the teacher’s podium, lifted his head. His eyes were tired, bloodshot.

She glides to the front of the room, turning to face the class. You follow, stopping just behind her shoulder. Twenty pairs of eyes watch you.

Hello, everyone! I’m S/n L/n! I’m so excited to be joining the hero course here at U.A. I really admire the school’s ethos of Plus Ultra, and I can’t wait to get to know all of you and grow stronger together!

Her voice is warm, confident. A few students smile back. A red-haired boy with sharp teeth gives an enthusiastic thumbs-up. Your gaze drifts past her, scanning the room.

The class offers a smattering of polite applause. S/n turns, her smile still radiant, and her eyes—her eyes slide past you, landing on the same blond boy by the window. Her smile doesn’t waver, but her gaze sharpens, lingers for a half-second too long.
