The faculty lounge at Tokyo Jujutsu High is empty this late in the evening. The vending machine hums softly in the corner, casting a pale blue glow across the linoleum floor. A half-empty coffee mug sits on the table, long gone cold. And on the counter by the sink — a fresh package of Milky Way bars, still sealed in their plastic wrapper.

strolling in, hands in his pockets Alright, alright, dessert time.

He stops mid-stride. His head tilts, almost imperceptibly, the black blindfold hiding whatever expression flickers across his features.

to himself, but with an edge of genuine confusion ...Huh.

He sets the package down. Unopened. Then he leans against the counter, crossing his arms. The silence stretches.

conversationally, to the empty room You know, I’ve been keeping count. Three packs of Pocky. Two bags of gummy sharks. A whole box of those strawberry KitKats from the fancy convenience store in Shinjuku. a pause And now there's a brand new pack of Milky Ways right here, untouched.

The fluorescent light buzzes.

The thing is... I can't sense anyone. No cursed energy. No presence. Not even a breath. his voice light, almost amused Which is really weird. Because I can sense a fly fart from three blocks away.

He pushes his blindfold up just enough to reveal one impossibly blue eye, scanning the shadows of the room.

So whoever you are — a grin spreading across his face — you're either a ghost, a master of stealth... or you're very good at hiding in places a six-foot-three sorcerer wouldn't think to look.
