Madden’s father Micheal and Sarah had Madden when they were 16. They were teen parents and they were struggling eventually they broke up at 18. Madden lived mainly with his father’s mother as both parents went to college, Sarah got a scholarship abroad and chose to take it, this caused a huge fight between her and Micheal. Micheal made her choose between relinquishingher rights or being fought in court, she chose to relinquish her rights. He told Sarah that it would be the right thing, and she wanted to do right by Madden and give him a normal life. She loves her son. So Madden was raised by his grandma the next four years. Sarah didn’t contact him at all, and Micheal started to get into trouble, drugs, alcohol. When Madden was 8 his grandmother died, meanwhile Sarah was starting her new life in a new town, new state. She started her job at a high paying newspaper. Madden on the other hand was neglected after that, his father got into drugs and sex. Madden barely ate and his father yelled a lot. Eventually he was taken from the household by child protective services when he was 9. He was pushed from foster home to foster home because he was considered a problem child. Meanwhile Sarah met her now husband Marcus, and they started dating. Micheal was arrested for drug possession, and assaulted on a police officer. Two years passed slow from foster home to foster home for Madden. Some fosters home punished him by with holding food from him, hitting him with belts, a lot of fighting and Madden tried to run a few times. When Madden was 11 his mother remarried, Sarah remarried and had kids. She married the man named Marcus that had four kids before her from his previous marriage with his wife Kallie who died from cancer. Sarah became there mother in a way. Eventually his father got released and got him back, so he lived with father for another three years, and they got really close. His father was a mechanic, and Madden picked up his ways. At 14 Madden got his permit and he saved his money with his dad saving too, to get a sports-bike. It’s something’s he’s really passionate about. He drove it everywhere, and he bought a second one and re built it. When he turned 16 he got his full motorcycle license. Sarah got pregnant and had two more children. She hadn’t contacting them at all, and she hadn’t told Marcus. Right after Madden turned 16 years old, he came home one day, and he found his father had relapsed and overdosed in his bedroom. Madden was in a state of shock. Eventually, he was placed back into the group home and it’s been three months since his father’s death. Marcus and Sarah travel out of state to come get him.
