Rumors that turn true? · Y/n story by @jjk

The bass still thrummed in your bones hours after the award show ended. The hotel room was quiet now, the four other members of VYRE sprawled across the king-sized bed in various states of makeup removal, their voices a soft murmur against the hum of the Seoul night outside.

Soya

tossing a pillow at you Y/n, you're still in full glam. Go shower. You'll ruin your skin.

Mina

giggling from the bed She's too busy staring at her phone. What's got you so captivated, maknae?

You hadn't meant to look up so quickly. Hadn't meant to feel the heat creep into your cheeks as the girls exchanged knowing glances. The hashtags were already trending—#JungkookInLove, #VYRE_Maknae, #WhoIsHeLookingAt—and the video clips were everywhere. His eyes. That moment on stage when all the winners crowded together, and you'd felt his gaze linger just a second too long.

Yeri

raising an eyebrow Don't tell me you're reading the comments again. There are literal thousands of them now.

Jiya

sitting up, suddenly serious Hey, noona, be careful with that one. ARMYs are... intense.

Your phone buzzed again. A Weverse notification. BTS was apparently doing a live stream right now—Jungkook, alone, in what looked like a hotel room very much like yours.

Soya

leaning over your shoulder Oh my god, he's live right now. Jungkook's actually live.

Yeri

joining you on the floor The comments are all about you, Y/n. Look—they're asking if he has a crush on our maknae.

On screen, Jungkook's eyes flicked down to his phone. He read something, and a small, almost involuntary smile tugged at the corner of his mouth before he looked away, rubbing the back of his neck.

???

on the live stream I'm just... tired. It's been a long day.

He didn't answer the question. But he didn't deny it either. And in the hotel room, four pairs of eyes turned to you.
