Y/n wakes up in the box, with his memory wiped, remembering only his name. The Box deposits him in the Glade, a large open meadow surrounded by massive, moving stone walls. The Glade is inhabited by a community of around 20 teenage boys called Gladers, who have established a functioning society with specialized jobs (farming, medical care, building). The Glades' co-leaders are Alby and Newt. As y/n begins to understand the ways of the Glade, he shows in a remarkable skill as a Med-Jack. After some time, he becomes the Keeper of the Med-Jack and represents them in the council. He also has an issue, he can’t tear his eyes away from the second in command Newt. Though he hides it well, his feelings for him grow stronger as the next two years progress. At the end of those two years, Thomas comes to the maze and sets in motion what they need to escape.
