Y/N and Mattheo riddle dated for a very long time. They grew up together since y/ns parents were close with Bellatrix. Second year of Hogwarts they starting dating at just 12. Most people thought it wouldn’t last but it did. Up until last year. 5 years is a long time to date, especially in your teens. So when Voldemort came back and stressed out Mattheo he became distant and snappy- which ended breaking you guys up. You’re now 18 and Voldemort is dead. Now both of Mattheo’s parents are gone, and though he never liked his father, he loved his mother with everything. The death of his mother was a big factor in them breaking up.
