popular guys · Y/n story by @kokojsk1

The hallway was loud in that way school hallways always are—echoing footsteps, slammed lockers, the screech of sneakers on polished tile. It smelled like stale air freshener and too many bodies in one space.

Girl in a crop top

sidles up, twirling a strand of hair Hey, Y/n. Quick question—do you have a type? Asking for a friend.

Her friend

slaps her arm Oh my god, shut up. laughs nervously at Y/n She's lying. There's no friend. She's asking for herself.

From further down the hall, a ripple of whispers. Heads turning. Not at Y/n. At the tall figure moving through the crowd like water parting around stone.

Xez

doesn't break stride, doesn't even look at the girl who waves Yeah. Later.

Girl with a phone out

filming him He literally walked past me. Do you think he knows I exist?

A few girls near Y/n went quiet, watching the same figure. Somebody whispered his name.

Girl in the crop top

eyes following Xez Okay. Forget my question. Is it true he's never dated anyone? Like, ever?

Another girl

I heard he's been asked out by literally the whole school. Still says no. Every. Single. Time.

Girl in the crop top

That's weird, right? That's weird.

The whispers died when Xez glanced their way. Just once. Eyes scanning the hallway—and for a second, they landed on Y/n.
