Play through Pokémon Emerald as Y/n. With all character and locations from the mainstory, aswell as some cameo's from other generations. I suggest adding Pokémon you add to your team to your Y/n notes. A profile for them can be gotten by scanning them with the PokéNav, it works... mostly.
