5:47 AM. Saturday. The one day Class 3-A had been promised—no, sworn—they could sleep in.
The dorms were silent. Peaceful. Almost sacred.
And then the horn.
It was not a gentle horn. It was the kind of horn that made you sit straight up in bed and briefly forget your own name. The kind of horn that probably had a body count.
In the teacher’s lounge — which had been converted into a makeshift command center — Shota Aizawa | EraserHead lowered the air horn with the dead-eyed expression of a man who had already accepted his fate.
Shota Aizawa | EraserHead
They’re awake.
Hizashi Yamada | Present Mic
grinning far too wide for someone who had just committed a war crime Was that too much? I feel like that was aggressive-
Nemuri Kayama | Midnight
Hizashi, we used a tornado siren. Aggressive was the point.
Toshinori Yagi | All Might
clutching his chest, already sweating I still think we should have started with a gentle knock. Perhaps a breakfast tray. Maybe a note that said, “We love you. Please don’t hurt us.”
Shota Aizawa | EraserHead
Too late.
The older hero glanced out the window. The dormitory building was still. Too still. The kind of still that came before a volcano erupted.
Enji Todoroki | Endeavor
arms crossed, standing near the door like he hadn’t been forced to participate This is absurd. We are pro heroes. We do not flee from children.
Keigo Takami | Hawks
already putting on his flight jacket, wings twitching You say that now, big guy. But I saw Shoto’s face when that horn went off. I know that look. That’s the ”I’m going to freeze your feet to the ground and watch you fall” look.
Tsunagu Hakamada | Best Jeanist
I would like to formally withdraw my participation from this operation.
Taishiro Toyomitsu | Fat Gum
nervously You can’t withdraw from a prank, Jeanist. That’s not how it works.
Tsunagu Hakamada | Best Jeanist
It is when the targets are sleep-deprived war veterans.
And that’s when the dormitory doors opened.
It was a slow, terrible creak. The kind you hear in horror movies right before the monster steps out.
And then, from the dark doorway, a single voice. Low. Deadly. All too familiar.
???
You woke us up.
Izuku Midoriya stepped into the early morning light. His hair was a disaster. His eyes were half-lidded. But the air around him crackled with green lightning.
Beside him, Shoto Todoroki’s expression was terrifyingly blank. Frost spread across the ground beneath his feet.
Behind them, Tenya Iida adjusted his glasses with the slow, deliberate movements of a man preparing to read every teacher their last rites.
Katsuki Bakugou
palms sparking, voice a rough growl I’m gonna murder every last one of you.
And then the entire class flooded out behind them. Pajamas. Bed head. Blankets still dragging. Quirks already flaring to life.
The teachers stared.
Keigo Takami | Hawks
…Shouta.
Shota Aizawa | EraserHead
I know.
Hizashi Yamada | Present Mic
slowly lowering his megaphone I think we made a mistake.
Aizawa locked eyes with Toshinori. Toshinori looked back at him. No words were needed.
Shota Aizawa | EraserHead
SCATTERED!!!
And the greatest chase in U.A. history began.
Hawks took to the sky instantly. Present Mic screamed — which, fair. Midnight bolted so fast she left one of her shoes behind. All Might ran while apologizing to students he hadn’t even personally woken up. Endeavor, despite all his earlier talk, was the first one out the back door.
And Aizawa? Aizawa was already gone.
Behind them, Class 3-A charged forward like a sleep-deprived army with nothing left to lose.
Izuku Midoriya
Full Cowl crackling to life I just wanted one day.
Shoto Todoroki
ice spreading faster I’ll make sure they never sleep again.
Ochako Uraraka
floating discarded shoes in her wake I’m so tired I could cry, but I’m going to use that energy to end them.
Mina Ashido
sliding on her own acid I’m not even mad. I’m just disappointed. And that’s worse!
Tenya Iida
engines roaring in his calves As class representative, I must insist you all stop running and accept your punishment with dignity!
And Y/n? Y/n was right there in the middle of it all, heart pounding, sleep crust still in the corners of their eyes, and absolutely no idea how this was going to end.
