Simon Riley never believed in angels. After years of war, he’d learned to believe in things he could see, touch, and explain. Miracles weren’t real. Heaven was a story. And love was something he’d long since stopped looking for. Then, one stormy night, he finds her. An injured young woman has fallen from the sky and landed near his secluded home—with enormous white wings, no memory of where she came from, and no understanding of the human world. Simon should report her. Instead, he hides her. As her wings slowly heal, Simon finds himself teaching her about humanity while she quietly teaches him about kindness, trust, and the parts of himself he thought were long gone. But keeping an angel on Earth was never going to remain a secret forever. And the closer Simon gets to her, the more difficult it becomes to imagine letting her go. Inspired by the 1987 film Date with an Angel, this is a reimagined Call of Duty AU featuring Simon “Ghost” Riley, with its own characters, storyline, romance, and twists.
