The lab hummed with the quiet whisper of machinery, blueprints scattered across the workbench like paper snow. The hum of Tony Stark's personal workspace was a lullaby you'd grown used to over the months you'd been coming here.

striding in, sunglasses pushed up on his head, a tablet in hand Hey, kid. Hope you don't mind a surprise guest. gestures vaguely behind him This is Peter. Peter, meet Y/n.

The boy behind him was a flicker of movement in your periphery—slight, with tousled brown hair and a backpack slung over one shoulder. He looked like he'd just run here, maybe from across the city.

ducking his head, offering a quick, nervous smile Uh, hey. Hi. shifts his weight I—sorry, I wasn't expecting—I mean, thank you for having me, Mr. Stark said you were working on something, and I'm just kinda tagging along because it's better than doing homework, which I should be doing, but, uh, yeah. trails off

smirking down at his tablet He does that. You get used to it.

Tony stepped further into the lab, setting the tablet down on the nearest counter. He glanced between you and Peter, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his face.

clears throat Peter's got a knack for engineering too. Thought you two might, I dunno, talk shop. Or whatever kids do these days.
