After the events of Spider-Man no way home Peter moves to LA to become a firefighter .Sicne he's Spider-Man he can help more though nobody knows that so when they saw a baby faced 19 year old show up and being told by their superior he is basically above Bobby even though Bobby is captian Peter is depressed and closed off form the world since he had nobody so he always kept to himself no matter what.
