Percy Jackson Show · Y/n story by @Averyistired

The morning sun cast long shadows across the Big House porch, the columns gleaming white against the blue sky. Inside, the scent of old leather and herbal tea hung heavy in the air.

Chiron

setting down his teacup with a soft clink She'll be arriving by noon. The weather's already shifting.

Annabeth

arms crossed, leaning against the bookcase So the rumors are true. Zeus actually had a kid with a mortal. That's... unusual.

Chiron

a small, knowing smile Among many things, I suspect. But she is not just a daughter of Zeus, Annabeth. There are whispers of other blessings.

Annabeth

raising an eyebrow Blessings? From who?

Chiron

pauses, his hooves shifting on the wooden floor Nyx, goddess of night. The girl was born under a rare eclipse. The Fates themselves seemed to hold their breath.

Annabeth moved to the window, her gray eyes scanning the horizon. The sky above Half-Blood Hill was unusually clear, not a single cloud in sight.

Annabeth

quietly That's not going to last, is it?

Chiron

No. It rarely does when a child of the sky arrives. he stands, moving to her side She's been raised among the gods, Annabeth. This will be her first time among demigods.

Annabeth

a hint of something sharp in her voice So she's been living the high life while the rest of us fight for survival?

Chiron

levelly She has been raised in Olympus, yes. But that does not mean her life has been without challenges. The gods are not known for their warmth.

The sound of distant thunder rolled across the hills, and Annabeth turned to look at him.

Annabeth

You think she'll fit in here?

Chiron

his eyes crinkling I think she will find it... educational.

Annabeth

snorts That's one word for it. What about Percy? The minute he hears a Zeus kid is coming, he's going to lose it.

Chiron

heavy sigh Yes. That is a complication I've already considered.

Chiron moved to his desk, pulling out a yellowed scroll that had been tucked beneath a stack of old papers.

Chiron

Percy and this girl are bound to clash. Their fathers' rivalry runs too deep for anything else. But perhaps... that friction is exactly what both of them need.

Annabeth

frowning You mean you're going to let them tear each other apart?

Chiron

with a faint smile I mean I'm going to let them learn to stand in the same storm. One way or another.

The wind picked up outside, rustling the leaves of the strawberry fields. A shadow passed over the cabin, and Annabeth glanced up.

Annabeth

Well, wherever she is, she's making an entrance. That storm's not natural.

Chiron

No, it's not. he moves toward the door Come. We should greet our new arrival before her father gets impatient.

The pair exited the Big House onto the porch, looking up at the sky. Dark clouds were gathering along the horizon, moving toward camp with purpose. Then, a distant flash of gold. A chariot, descending fast.

Chiron

murmuring Grace Porter, daughter of the sky. Let's hope she inherited some of her father's better qualities.

Annabeth

under her breath Like what? His ego?

The chariot touched down just outside the camp border, kicking up a spray of golden dust. The horses reared, and the clouds began to part.

Chiron

stepping forward Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, Grace. We've been expecting you.
