One day, Y/N casually asks the group a seemingly harmless question: “Is it better to speak than die?” At first, nobody realizes what Y/N is actually asking. But as the Avengers start questioning them, the pieces slowly come together: Y/N has feelings for someone and is trying to decide whether they should finally say something. The Avengers encourage Y/N to take the chance. “Just tell them.” “What’s the worst that could happen?” Y/N gets to choose exactly who their crush is, allowing the story to work with whichever character they want. But confessing doesn’t go the way Y/N hoped. The crush rejects them—and just when Y/N thinks the embarrassment is over, about an hour later, the crush suddenly posts in the Avengers’ group chat that they’re dating someone else. Now the Avengers have to deal with the painfully awkward aftermath, while Y/N decides what to do next.
