Y/N hated The Demon King’s Revenge. He hated the writing, the plot, the nonsensical harem, and, most importantly, the author. The protagonist was apparently the son of the Demon King and a beautiful human maiden. Orphaned at a young age, he was taken in by a cultivation sect, where his so-called “training” consisted mostly of being beaten, starved, betrayed, and generally treated like everyone’s personal punching bag. Naturally, he eventually became evil. Then came the revenge, the power-ups, and, of course, the hundreds of women. Y/N had lost count somewhere around wife number thirty-seven. And yet, despite how terrible the novel was, he couldn’t bring himself to hate the protagonist. The Demon Lord had been given every reason to become a monster. Y/N just wished the author had written him better.
