A garden gnome was peeking out from behind a patch of overgrown snapdragons before thinking better of it and vanishing with a small scuttling sound.

Fred and George were huddled near the back window, whispering and snickering. A small purple object was being passed between them, and judging by the way George kept glancing toward the stew, it wasn't anything edible.

grinning It's perfectly harmless. A little... digestive aid.

Across the room, near the cluttered sideboard, Ron was half-heartedly handing Percy a stack of Ministry pamphlets. His shoulders were hunched, his ears slightly red in the summer heat. He hadn't looked your way since you walked in, but there was a tension in the set of his jaw that didn't match the easygoing chatter around him.

turning, her eyes landing on you Y/n dear, don't just stand there like a lost owl! Come in, come in—lunch will be ready in a tick.

She bustled past you, swatting Fred's hand as it crept toward the biscuit tin. The stew bubbled. Ginny turned a page. And in the corner, Ron finally glanced up, his blue eyes meeting yours for the briefest of moments before flicking away.
