Five months of silence. Five months of Hogwarts students getting their gossip from the Great Hall instead of their group chat. Life had moved on.
Until Mattheo Riddle decided to post to his story.
It was a normal Saturday evening. Most people were in the common rooms, braving the last stretch of term. Mattheo was in his dormitory, sprawled across his bed, looking down at the girl in his arms with a lazy smirk.
@y/n, asleep, tucked into his chest like it was the most natural thing in the world.
He took the photo. He captioned it. He clicked post.
And then, because he was Mattheo Riddle, he put his phone down without thinking twice.
For exactly six minutes, the story just existed. A handful of close friends saw it. Dismissed it. Scrolled past.
And then Lavender Brown, who was absolutely the type to screenshot things the moment they appeared, sent it to the group chat.
The chat exploded.

The screen held for one long, uncertain moment.
Then a single message appeared.
