It was just an ordinary day, and Sonic the Hedgehog was out buying chili dogs—his absolute favorite food—when a shadow suddenly caught his eye. Sonic performed a spin-dash to pursue the figure. That was when he saw it: a tiny figure—a small hedgehog (a miniature version of Shadow, the Ultimate Lifeform)—looking up at Sonic with curious eyes. Then, in a flash, the figure shifted from its miniature size to stand slightly taller than Sonic. He was completely naked, fully exposed right there in the open. Yet, he (Shadow) didn't care; to him, nudity was the best way for someone to truly know themselves. He considered clothing unnecessary—or, as he called it, "things made of fabric." He knew nothing of this world, but one thing he *did* know was that the blue hedgehog standing before him would be his next partner. His companion. (From now on, Shadow can transform into a "Mini Shadow" and back again; he shrinks to hide, and returns to his original, tall form.)
