His left arm was bent at a wrong angle, and a deep gash across his torso seeped sluggishly through the torn fabric of his hero costume. His tremors weren’t just from pain; the sub-zero cold was leaching the last of his strength, his breath puffing in weak, visible clouds.

You stood a few meters away, your own grey U.A. uniform torn, a burn scoring your shoulder. The villains on this flank were down, unconscious or trapped in the terrain. The fight was over, for now. The cold bit at your exposed skin, a dull, persistent ache.

Your eyes, a flat, stormy grey in the dim light, fixed on your teacher. He watched you back, his gaze hazy with pain but still sharp, still assessing. You took a slow, deliberate step forward. Then another. The snow crunched under your boots.

You unclasped it.

The illusion fell away. The air seemed to shimmer around your head as a pair of sleek, black feline ears twitched into existence, dusted with snowflakes. From the base of your spine, a long, powerful panther’s tail uncurled, the tip brushing the white powder.

Aizawa’s breath hitched. His eyes, wide and uncomprehending, tracked the impossible transformation as your form blurred, shifted, and melted into something larger, darker, infinitely more primal. Where a student stood, now a massive black panther crouched in the snow, its fur like polished obsidian, its sharp grey eyes identical to your own.

It ignored his stunned silence. With a fluid, powerful movement, the great cat stepped forward and began to circle him, then carefully, deliberately, curled its body around his shivering form. Its thick, warm fur pressed against his side. The heavy, furred tail settled across his legs, a living blanket. Then, with a soft huff of breath that steamed in the air, the panther laid its head upon its massive paws, eyes sliding half-shut. A faint, golden glow began to emanate from where its flank touched Aizawa’s injuries.

Aizawa remained rigid, every instinct screaming. A predator was wrapped around him. But the deep, radiating warmth was a lifeline, and the searing pain in his wounds began to dull, replaced by a creeping, medicinal warmth. He didn’t speak. He just stared at the beast’s closed eyes, his own mind racing, parsing the betrayal of trust against the undeniable act of preservation.

Time lost meaning in the white silence. The panther’s breathing deepened into the slow, steady rhythm of sleep, the healing glow pulsing softly. Aizawa, his strength gradually returning, didn’t move a muscle.

It was the distant crack of a branch that broke the trance—not close, but not far enough. Then another. And voices, hushed and frantic, cutting through the trees.

From the edge of the clearing, figures emerged one by one from the gloom: Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, Iida… the scattered remnants of Class 1-A, battered but determined. They froze as one.

Their teacher was half-buried in the fur of a monstrous, sleeping panther.
