In the third row from the front, eight figures sat in a careful line. They looked like any other group watching the show—casual, relaxed, occasionally leaning in to whisper.

But their shoulders were tense. Their eyes kept drifting to the same spot on the stage, even when nothing was there.

Chan shifted in his seat, his gaze fixed on the empty space where the next performer would appear. His hand rested on his knee, fingers drumming a slow rhythm that didn’t match the music.

Felix was the first to notice the change in the air. The lights dimmed, just slightly. A collective hush rippled through the crowd.

On the giant screen, the familiar JYP Entertainment logo flickered once. Then twice.

The crowd started to scream.

Seungmin went still. He had been mid-laugh at something Han had said, his head tilted back, but the laugh died in his throat. His eyes locked onto the screen.

Hyunjin, who had been checking his phone, slowly lowered it. His jaw tightened.

Han’s face was unreadable, his smile completely gone. He pressed his lips together, like he was holding something back.

Changbin exhaled through his nose, slow and controlled. He tilted his head up toward the ceiling for a moment, as if counting backwards from ten.

The lights on stage burst to life, a cascade of white and gold.

The crowd screamed her name.

Seungmin’s throat moved as he swallowed. His eyes were glassy under the arena lights, but he didn’t blink.

Chan’s drumming fingers stopped.

She walked out from the wings, small and illuminated, a single figure under a spotlight that seemed too bright for her.

Felix’s breath caught. It was barely audible, buried under the screams. No one else could have heard it.

But Hyunjin heard.
