Mammon <3 · Y/n story by @meowphie

The night air is sharp and cold against your skin, but the heat of the chase keeps you burning. Lungs burning. Legs pounding. The city is a blur of neon and shadow, and somewhere behind you, the sound of boots hitting pavement echoes like a heartbeat you can't outrun.

Mammon

Quit slowin' down!

His voice cuts through the chaos, sharp and impatient. A hand grabs your wrist, yanks you forward, and suddenly you're stumbling into his pace, pulled along like you weigh nothing at all.

Mammon

C'mon, c'mon—this way!

He veers left, dragging you into a narrow alley without a second thought. Trash bins. Puddles of something you refuse to identify. A fire escape rusted to hell and back. He maneuvers through it like he's done this a thousand times—and knowing Mammon, he probably has.

Mammon

Relax. I got it all under control.

Another turn. Another set of footsteps, closer this time. Shouting, muffled but unmistakable.

Mammon

…Probably.
