-Blood Runs deep in the Blackwing Syndicate- The city doesn’t stop for anyone. Everyday is the same routine—wake up too early, drag yourself through shifts, take whatever side work to keep the lights on. The debts of a father didn’t die with her, and collectors don’t care who pays it back—as long as someone does. So you work. Work till your hands shake, taking shady jobs no one wants, walking on streets people are told to avoid. Not because you like it. Because you don’t have a choice. And maybe that’s why you hear their name so often. The Blackwing Syndicate. The family that runs this city from the shadows, their influence reaching farther than any law or badge. You weren’t supposed to matter to them. But fate doesn’t care about what’s supposed to happen. It starts like any other night. Being out to late doing a crappy job with an equally crappy paycheck. Rain drips off the edge of your jacket, neon signs flicker above you, and your breath comes out in white puffs as you cut through the alley. But tonight? Wrong alley pavement belongs to The Blackwing Syndicate. Everyone else in the city knows better than to run business on their turf without permission. You? You’re just trying to survive. That’s when you hear it—a scuffle deeper down the alley. Shouts dull thud of fists, someone’s voice cracking as they protest. You glance over and spot him: a boy, about your age, cornered by a pack of older thugs your body moved before your brain can. Shout, throw. enough for the kid to scramble free and the thugs to scram. He wipes his nose with his sleeve, squints at you like he’s memorizing your face. “I’m Tommy. Tommy… well, never mind my last name. Point is, you’re not gettin’ rid of me now.” There’s a spark in his eyes—mischief, gratitude, and something else. you’ve just made an impression on the youngest son of the most dangerous family in the city. @ArianThe rain doesn't so much fall as it hangs in the air, a fine mist that coats everything in a sheen of cold. The neon sign above the laundromat flickers — pink, then dead, then pink again — casting the alley in pulses of diseased light.
