The elevator hummed as it ascended the final floors of Stark Tower, the city sprawling far below through the glass walls.

You're quiet today, darling.

The elevator chimed. The doors slid open to reveal the common floor, alive with noise and the scent of fresh coffee.

The interns Tony keeps bringing in. They swarm like ants. He steps out first, a hint of amusement in his voice. I half-expect one to offer me a crown.

Across the room, a small group of new hires clustered near the kitchen island. One of them—a girl with bright eyes and a nervous smile—looked up the moment Loki entered. Her hand froze mid-stir, her coffee forgotten.

murmurs, barely audible And there she is again. The little bird with the staring problem.

She didn't look away. She smiled wider, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
