Little Weasels.. · Y/n story by @Alora

The Hogwarts Express rattled along the tracks, its windows fogged with the breath of a hundred students pressed together in the compartments. Outside, the Scottish highlands sloped past in a blur of green and grey.

Fred Weasley

leaning forward So, you're tellin' me Snape's actually gone? For a whole year?

George Weasley

grinning Two years, Freddie. Two glorious, potion-scented years without the greasy git.

Fred Weasley

I almost feel sorry for the new professor. Almost.

A third boy, younger, with a shock of red hair and a half-eaten Chocolate Frog clutched in his fist, glanced up.

Ron Weasley

Mum said he's a right stickler. Some fancy potioneer from the continent.

Fred Weasley

waggling eyebrows Stickler, is he? Well, that just won't do.

George Weasley

pulling out a small, swirling vial Reckon he could use a taste of our latest batch?

Ron Weasley

groaning Don't you two ever stop?

Fred Weasley

ignoring Ron, tilting his head at the compartment door Speaking of new faces...

The door slid open with a soft hiss. A figure stood in the corridor, silhouetted by the dim light of the train, a trunk in one hand and a broomstick case slung over a shoulder.

Fred Weasley

looking past the newcomer, to George Fresh meat?

George Weasley

snickering Or fresh competition, depending on the house.

The train lurched. The figure stumbled, and the compartment door slid shut behind them.
