The story follows the events of Tomb Raider (2013), beginning immediately after the Endurance is shipwrecked upon the mysterious island of Yamatai. Twenty-one-year-old Lara Croft is far from the hardened survivor she will one day become. Though intelligent and resourceful, she is inexperienced, frightened, and overwhelmed by the horrors unfolding around her. Separated from most of her friends and haunted by the realization that people are trying to kill her, Lara and Sam search desperately across the island to reunite with the rest of the Endurance crew while simply trying to stay alive herself.
