The fluorescent lights of U.A. High School hummed overhead, casting everything in that familiar sterile glow that had become Hanta Sero’s second home over the past year and a half.

He was sprawled across one of the common room couches, legs dangling over the armrest, phone pressed to his ear. His voice had that lazy, comfortable drawl to it—the one that only came out when he was talking to you.

On the couch beside him, Denki Kaminari raised a brow, nudging Kirishima with his elbow.

A few feet away, the door to the common room opened.

Hanta didn't look up. He was too busy trying to get you to spill whatever secret you were clearly keeping.

Behind him, Toshinori Yagi | All Might followed, his skeletal frame somehow even more out of place in the brightly lit common room. And behind him—

The entire common room went quiet.

It happened in slow motion.

Hanta’s eyes finally lifted from his phone, following the movement of the doorway. His mouth was still open mid-sentence, words dying on his tongue.

It hit the floor with a hollow thud that echoed through the suddenly silent room.

Denki looked up. Kirishima looked up. Even Bakugo glanced over, his pencil pausing mid-annotation.

The person he’d been missing for months. The person he’d been complaining to about time zones and missed flights and how unfair it all was.

Standing right there. In his common room. Looking at him like you’d been planning this for weeks. Because you had.

Reader, he squeezed you so tight you probably lost feeling in your ribs. Worth it though.
